This month we are delighted to announce the selection of artist Eric McRay to join the Waverly Artists Group.
We will have an expanded selection of his work on display titled "Jazz: The Classical Music of America" for the open house and in addition, Eric will be at our gallery giving a free lesson and demo of his technique from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on June 27th.
Do stop in to experience his personal interpretation of "Jazz, the Classical Music of America." His goal is to cause his audience to "hear the music and feel the intensity." Through his brilliant color, expressive brushstrokes, and improvisational application of acrylic paint, McRay captures the vibrancy and spontaneity of his musical subjects. These paintings will materialize this auditory art form of jazz, as a two dimensional visual art form, producing a dynamic, "visual rhythm."
So what’s not to like?
