Eric McRay, a studio artist at Artspace located in the heart of Raleigh, will conduct an acrylic/oil workshop working from photos. Come expand your knowledge of oil or acrylic painting with professional visual artist, Eric McRay.  Join us for a dynamic learning experience.  In this workshop you will learn how to create your own unique work of art that doesn't simply look like copies of photos, but real art.  Utilizing your own personal photographic reference learn to translate your favorite images into works of original art you can be proud to share with family and friends.  Eric will lead you to new ways to work with photographs and express your personal vision.

The participants will need to bring their own canvas and oils or acrylic paints. This class is limited to 10 students ages 16 and older.

Cost: $20.00

Suggested size for paintings: 24x30; 24x36; 30x30; 30x40

Eric is an original.  He is neither the starving artist nor the profiteering commercial artist.  "I am an extraordinary gentleman with an adventurer's heart, but I'm no bohemian!"  He is a man that has struggled throughout his career to achieve a high level of technical proficiency, pictorial intelligence and a sense of artistic legacy.
